[DOHA] Fifa President Gianni Infantino announced on Friday a new independent committee would be set up to monitor working conditions for labourers at Qatar's 2022 World Cup stadiums.
Speaking during his first visit to Doha as head of world football's governing body, Mr Infantino said he was "confident we are on the right track" after a string of alleged rights violations during the tournament's construction phase.
He said the oversight body will be led by Fifa and comprise members of civil society.
