SINGAPOREANS love food. Not only do we love to eat, we enjoy watching anything about it, from food shows to in-depth documentaries. This explains the strong interest in Foodcine.ma, a food-centric film festival that kicks off at the end of April. The inaugural event will screen eight feature-length films and tickets are selling like hot cakes.

To be held at Objectifs, Foodcine.ma is organised by design firm Anonymous, the creators behind the Design Film Festival (DFF).

Anonymous' creative director Felix Ng is surprised by how good the response has been. "Just because a person likes food doesn't mean that they would want to watch a film on food," he assumed.
