GLOBETROTTERS are not the only ones scrambling to make up for lost time. After nearly two years of complying with safe-distancing measures, singles are raring to connect in person or “revenge socialise”, as Paktor group chief executive Alex Tam terms it.
“Singles are out in force during the festive season and ‘revenge socialising’ – a similar trend that we see for overseas travel,” he says.
This is especially so during the peak dating season of December to February, where Tam observes a surge in interest for dating events organised by GaiGai, the local dating company’s offline matchmaking arm.
