Buffalo Boys is an Indonesian Western directed by Mike Wiluan, founder of homegrown production house Infinite Studios and produced by famed local director Eric Khoo.
Set in the late 19th century in Java, it stars Indonesian actors Ario Bayu and Tio Pakusadewo as a pair of exiled brothers who grow up as cowboys in the American Wild West but return to Indonesia years later to unravel the mystery of their past and avenge the brutal deaths of their parents.
Judging by the epic trailer, Buffalo Boys looks like it has more baddies than any Quentin Tarantino film and enough slow-motion action set pieces to rival John Woo's output.
