Connoisseur Class
Japan's largest airline ANA adds two renowned master chefs to its 'The Connoisseurs' program, where acclaimed chefs design meals for its airport lounges and international flghts. Takeshi Kikuchi is head chef of Tokyo Shiba Tofuya Ukai, while Joachim Splichal is the founder and executive chef of the Patina Restaurant Group.
From now till Feb 2017, business class passengers flying from Japan to the United States and Europe can enjoy Tofuya Ukai's specialties such as deep fried lily bulb and maitake mushroom tofu dressed in snow crab kudzu sauce.
From March to May 2017, chef Splichal, nicknamed the "King of California cuisine", will design the menu on the same flights.
