Family Ties
Beyond making good wine, a strong business strategy is equally important for survival, the head of the Marchesi Frescobaldi group tells Christopher Lim.
A healthy bottom line has always been a big priority for Marchese Leonardo de Frescobaldi. In his six years as president of the Marchesi Frescobaldi group of olive oil and wine businesses, his priority has always been to ensure that the family business remains on sound financial footing.
Today, as honorary president and board member, he still passionately believes in good business. Because good business is good for family.
"Harmony is one of the most important things in a family company," said Mr Frescobaldi during a visit to Singapore in January. "But harmony is also the result of a company's financial situation," he added.
