Hong Kong dining scene makes up for lost time
ONCE a foodie paradise and then seemingly a lost city when the pandemic all but closed down its dining scene, Hong Kong is making a roaring comeback and whetting the appetites of both local and international food lovers. With major arts and trade shows taking place in the city since it lifted its mask mandate on Mar 2, reservations in hot restaurants are filling up briskly as tourists visit and locals celebrate a return to normalcy. In Friday’s issue of BT Lifestyle, we visit the gourmet destination and speak to restaurateurs, hoteliers and avid diners about the state of dining out in Hong Kong post-pandemic.
In Arts, we look at the state of the global art market, as a report by UBS and Art Basel shows that sales in 2022 exceeded pre-pandemic 2019 levels. And for those with an interest in heritage wear, check out the travelling kebaya show now exhibiting at the National Museum of Singapore. For film buffs, read our review of Kill Boksoon, a Korean action thriller showing on Netflix now.
And in Dining, Cuisson is a new fine-dining restaurant that brightens up Tanjong Pagar Road with its lush interiors. We find out how the food fares as well. Read all this and more in Friday’s edition of BT.
