Take away the hype and get solid Italian fare at the new Joo Chiat eatery

    WE’VE just been to a new church in Joo Chiat. We joined worshippers who come from near and far, hungry for the gospel of Ben Fatto, delivered by an enigmatic preacher from his glass-encased chapel. Of course, we made the mistake of thinking we had come to an Italian restaurant. But from the frenzy whipped up by his followers, it’s as if we’re witnessing the Second Coming of Ravioli. And that’s not just pasta we’re eating - it’s religion in tomato sauce.
