Ramen Stars
Jaime Ee
If the only thing better than one Michelin-starred ramen is TWO Michelin-starred ramen, then check out the new ramen stall at Picnic Food Park in Wisma Atria which is a venture with the two-starred Seizan restaurant in Tokyo. Arguably, it got its stars for its seasonal Japanese cuisine not for ramen per se, but technicality aside, the stall uses Seizan's proprietary dashi to make the 10-hour brewed broth for its signature uni ramen - enriched with bafun uni and cream. Kumamoto Wagyu Ramen and healthy dashi somen round off the three-noodle menu. Seizan Uni Ramen makes its debut just before Ichiran Ramen - the go-to ramen for Singaporean tourists inTokyo - makes its pop-up debut at this year's Japan Food Matsuri at Takashimaya. And of course, there's the new Afuri Ramen in Funan.
Seizan Uni Ramen at Picnic is at #03-15-49, Wisma Atria.
