Star-Studded Sushi
Not everybody heads to Niseko just to ski. There's Michelin-level dining to be had, too, especially at the three-starred Sushi Miyakawa, helmed by master chef Masaki Miyakawa. From Nov 2 to 4, the master himself will be in town to launch a two week pop-up at Shangri-la Hotel Singapore's NAMI Japanese restaurant. The team from his sister restaurant Sushi Shin will also be here for the duration of the pop-up. Expect a veritable feast from the seas of Hokkaido matched with chef Miyakawa's own recipe for shari, ie sushi rice, seasoned with just a hint of red vinegar. Indulge in the 19-course omakase menu priced at S$380 featuring appetisers and 10 pieces of nigiri sushi, or a 14-course nigiri sushi menu for S$165. Just remember to leave your skis at home.
