May 9, 2017, with Japanese food, hosted by a generous Japanese friend, a Tokyo restaurateur and avid wine collector.
A mellow golden yellow, with a warm aroma of ripe citrus, with a nice tangy edge. Medium-full density, rich flavour, well-concentrated, finishing smooth and long. Perfect condition. What a lovely wine, at 34 years' age, still at its peak, and looking good to hold at this level for another five to seven years.
