THERE was plenty to eat in Singapore in 2022 as Covid-19 restrictions became a thing of the past and the national pastime dominated all our agendas once more. At least until revenge travel took over and Instagram feeds showed a healthy split of dining out in Singapore and gourmet adventures abroad, with Japan soaring to top place the moment it opened its borders in October.

On the eve of the Christmas crush and an uncertain 2023 ahead, chefs and restaurateurs take stock of the year and share their own thoughts on business and their holiday plans for the year
