IF all that food porn on social media is not enough to get you off, there's more of where it came from on the big screen in Burnt, an entertaining but predictable dramedy starring Bradley Cooper as a disgraced chef trying to make a comeback.

Essentially Rocky set in a restaurant, director John Wells (August: Osage County) captures the buzz of the kitchen with the sort of frantic intensity usually reserved only for the make-it-or-break-it finale of a sports film.

And like last year's Chef and The Hundred-Foot Journey, a good amount of screen time is devoted to close-ups of the various dishes being prepared. Try not to watch it hungry; celebrity chefs Marcus Wareing and Mario Batali served as consultants so empty stomachs will growl.
