Full Circle
Tay Suan Chiang
Life, as they say, is a circle. Spiritually, it's seen as a constant loop so even when one ceases to exist, it doesn't necessarily mean the end of life.
This Circle of Life is explored by Japanese architect Takano Todo and Singaporean visual artist Justin Lee, in their exhibition of ceramics, silkscreen fabrics and prints. The collection of pieces aims to reflect how people are influenced and inspired by the nature of the 2011 tsunami and the celebration of the upcoming Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
The Circles of Life is on till Dec 9 at Japan Creative Centre, 4 Nassim Road. Open from 10am to 6pm from Tues to Sat. Admission is free.
