Gardens by the Bay gifts over 5,000 tickets to lower-income NTUC Union members
MORE residents from lower-income households in Singapore will get the chance to visit Gardens by the Bay for free as part of an ongoing partnership with the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC).
Gardens by the Bay announced in a news release that it is distributing 5,200 tickets to lower-income families supported by the NTUC-U Care Fund, as part of the futuristic nature park’s community outreach programme.
Since partnering with the NTUC-U Care Fund in December 2024, some 5,600 beneficiaries and their families have enjoyed visits to the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest – the two cooled conservatories at Gardens by the Bay.
The latest ticket donation will see the total exceed 10,000 individuals.
At an event on Sunday (Dec 14), Gardens by the Bay hosted 100 NTUC-U Care Fund beneficiaries and their families at the launch of Hasbro’s My Little Pony: Petals of Friendship showcase.
This kicked off the complimentary entry to Gardens by the Bay’s Floral Fantasy attraction, with these ticket-holders able to enjoy the attraction until Apr 12 next year. Gardens by the Bay chief executive officer Felix Loh said that the park’s “commitment to inclusion and community outreach” remains at the heart of what it does.
“We hope that more families can create wonderful memories through Gardens by the Bay’s Gift of Gardens community initiative, as we continue to share joy and wonder and bring our ‘People’s Garden’ closer to everyone,” he said.
NTUC deputy secretary-general Desmond Choo, who attended the event on Sunday, noted that the U Care Fund has provided more than S$5.5 million in assitance to over 47,000 beneficiaries this year.
“For us, this is more than financial aid. It is about caring for and uplifting lower-income families, improving their welfare and well-being, and helping them build better lives,” said Choo.
Each NTUC-U Care Fund beneficiary who has successfully balloted for the tickets can redeem up to five Floral Fantasy tickets from Dec 17, 2025 until Apr 12, 2026.
For the public, tickets to Floral Fantasy are priced at S$12 for local resident adults and S$8 for children or senior citizens.
