StartMyGig makes use of the crowdfunding model to gauge demand for overseas acts, as well as the most suitable ticket price. Fans can start a campaign and pledge whatever they are willing to pay for a ticket. Once the campaign gets enough pledges, a concert promoter is alerted to bring in the act.
