WITHOUT Dale "Opie" Skjerseth, this Saturday's Guns N' Roses concert - where a crowd of about 50,000 people is expected - might not happen.
The band will be playing in Singapore for the first time at Changi Exhibition Centre and the line-up features original members Axl Rose on vocals, Slash on guitar and Duff McKagan on bass.
As the production manager of the band's Not In This Lifetime reunion world tour, the 54-year-old is the crucial link between the group and the fans. His job, in a nutshell, is to ensure that the show goes on without a hitch - no small task given the band's notoriety for no-shows during their heyday in the Nineties.
