He won the hearts of the mainland Chinese TV audience - and Jay Chou who mentored him - on reality singing contest Sing! China and is now ready to take on the middle kingdom with his debut Mandarin single, Electric Love.

There is no stopping Nathan Hartono, who is taking the bold step of entering the Mando-pop market with the poppy number which some might find familiar because it's a reworked version of his 2016 English single Electricity. The song is from a five-track full Mandarin EP due later this year.

"I'm hoping to bring my music to more parts of the world, and to connect with a completely new audience," shares Hartono.
