Going wireless: Is it all it's cut out to be?

IT ALL began when the headphone jack on my phone began to get a little loose.

I was at my friend's place testing out a selection of the zillion headphones and earphones he had lying around, seeing which ones worked, when suddenly, things began to get a little... too easy. The multitude of headphones we were trying were beginning to slide a little bit too easily in and out of the phone. Right then, I knew that the jack had either somehow come loose inside the phone, or was not getting a connection.

That sparked off my "we're going on an adventure" moment. I was Bilbo Baggins, off on a quest into the great unknown, to begin a journey into the wondrous world of wireless technology.
