He highlights the beauty of nature in a Victorian way

IF you like the botanical drawings of the Victorian era, then William Sim will delight you with his contemporary and quirky take on Singapore's fauna.
"They're really just the ordinary, everyday plants that you don't even give a second look - because they've always been there," he explains modestly.
But in his pencil and watercolour renditions, the simple bird's nest fern or bougainvillea's beauty blossoms before your eyes. He also adds his own input - usually in the form of a mechanical gadget or toy as part of the drawing.
