For 16 years, Cedele at Wheelock Place was the go-to eatery for healthy sustenance with its emphasis on wholesome, unprocessed meals. But even health food can do with a reboot and it's now got a new menu with more vegan options. The Crab Kerabu, for example, uses lesser known ingredients such as jasberry rice, which supposedly has more antioxidants than green tea. It also makes use of local produce such as kale from Sustenir Agriculture, a local urban farming company. Besides its breads and cakes, the revamped outlet now boasts a retail space stocked with superfoods from local partners, such as jasberry rice and blue pea tea. It also has its own house brand ingredients such as quinoa, millet, nuts and seeds which are used in its dishes.
