WHEN the first round of The Business Times Corporate Golf League 2015 tees off on Sentosa Golf Club's Tanjong Course on July 6, participants can expect good playing surfaces, respectful green-speeds in the low tens and an overall great day of golf, according to the club's general manager Andy Johnston.

The club has hosted at least one of the rounds in each of the previous editions of the League, and like last year will host the opening and closing (on its Serapong layout) rounds in 2015. Explains Mr Johnston: "Sentosa Golf Club is happy to be part of the league once again and to extend our great courses to the BT group. It is a wonderful opportunity for non-members to experience the Tanjong and the Serapong which are presented in tournament conditions every day."

So, aside from the usual first-class conditions of the Tanjong course, what else should golfers be aware of? Mr Johnston says: "This may be the last time many of them will get to experience the current Tanjong Course. My advice would be enjoy all the holes, take a good look around because in November we plan to close the Tanjong for a year for a major redevelopment. The new course will be very different so let's make sure the BT players enjoy the experience and take a good look at the award-winning jewel that Tanjong has been for the past 41 years."
