THERE'S good news for those who want to play an affordable round of golf in Singapore.

Green Golf, the region's first live golf booking app, has added a local course to its mix - the nine-hole Champions Golf Course (formerly Green Fairways) which will cost S$30 per round.

Since the launch of the app in May, Green Golf has also expanded its offering to include weekend slots. Palm Resort Golf & Country Club in Johor Bahru is available to users on Sunday afternoons at RM30 (S$9.98) per game, while Bintan Lagoon Resort has begun offering Saturday and Sunday afternoon tee times from Aug 1. Plans are also in motion to make it a complete one-stop resource for young and budding golfers, as Green Golf hopes to eventually offer easy access to the right tools and services, from golf equipment rental to lessons and handicap maintenance, at affordable rates for all.

Says Simon Wood, director of marketing, Green Golf Pte Ltd: "We're excited to announce our new partnership with Champions Golf Course, which will allow Green Golf users in Singapore to indulge in a quick game of golf in the city. Green Golf was created with the intention of making the beautiful game of golf more accessible to all, and we believe adding local courses and weekend timings to the app allows us to move one step closer towards that aim."

The Green Golf mobile app can be downloaded for free on iPhone and Android phones.
