DEFENDING champions Team Boustead are back competing in the League for the third time. Says team captain Adrian Chu: "We had to return to defend our title this year even though we knew it would be more challenging given the returning champions of the past. Having said that, Boustead has always been a loyal supporter to BT and happy to be so."

The company has also returned as a sponsor for the seventh year and has once again generously sponsored S$20,000 in cash.

The team looks upon the League as a valuable platform for business networking as well as getting together socially. Says Mr Chu: "As in previous years, the organising committee has been professional and the dinners are, as usual, enjoyable affairs."

He notes, however, that "it's a pity that Sentosa is not included in the selection of courses this year".

Looking ahead to the following two rounds at Singapore Island Country Club and Tanah Merah Country Club's Garden Course, Mr Chu says the team will be going with its usual game plan. "We'll stick to our strategy to play team members who are most familiar with the course, and hope we can close the gap before the final round for a chance at the championship. It won't be easy with the advantage SunMoon has on us. They are a formidable team indeed."
