FITNESS First, the UK-based chain of gym clubs, is slowly but surely expanding its footprint in Singapore, with ambitious plans to launch new gyms across the island at a rate of two to three per year.
The company recently opened its 17th gym in Singapore - a sprawling 1,660 square metre facility - on the fourth floor of Bugis Junction, where the Shaw Theatres used to be.
The chain, which has 42,000 members in Singapore, has a presence in busy malls such as Paragon along Orchard Road and Westgate in Jurong, as well as offices such as Marina Bay Financial Centre and One Raffles Quay.
