Netflix's Marriage Story, starring Scarlett Johannson and Adam Driver, has just been released on the streaming service. And already, it's garnered a dozen accolades at this early stage of the awards season. Come Oscar time, the film is guaranteed to scoop half a dozen nominations, if not more. Written and directed by Noah Baumbach, Marriage Story begins with a married couple deciding to call it quits. The breakup is amicable at first. But once they hire divorce lawyers (played by Laura Dern and Alan Alda), the situation turns ugly as hidden resentments are dredged up. Baumbach himself went through a divorce from actress Jennifer Jason Leigh in 2010.
Marriage Story is streaming on Netflix and at the box office.
