The Heavenly Art of Tea
TWG Tea celebrates its 10th anniversary with a retrospective of its iconic tea blends and accessories
YOU COULD SAY THAT TWG Tea has brought tea appreciation to a whole new level, not just in Singapore but around the world.
What started as a simple desire to share their passion for tea has evolved into a 10-year journey for co-founders Taha Bouqdib and Maranda Barnes - one that has taken them to all corners of the world, sourcing a formidable library of 800 varieties of tea and counting, directly from the people who grow it. The year 1837 - when Singapore became a trading post for teas and spices - is immortalised in its brand name, to cement its proud heritage as a home-grown company. At the same time, with the largest collection of teas in the world, it has grown into a global brand with a distribution network of 42 countries, and a presence in 19 cities from Bangkok to New York.
For the past 10 years, TWG Tea has turned the humble act of brewing a cup of tea into an art form, re-inventing high tea as not just an afternoon repast of scones and Earl Grey, but an elegant, all-day lifestyle experience in beautifully appointed surroundings.
