AWARD-WINNING singer-songwriter Eric Moo is often called one of the pioneers of xinyao, a local Chinese folk song movement that was popular in Singapore in the 1980s and 1990s.
But to Allan Moo, musical director of upcoming musical Innamorati which is based on the singer/songwriter's work, he's just the older brother he grew up with.
Rather than worrying about how to preserve the integrity of Eric's music, the younger Moo is relishing the opportunity to "mess" with it.
