    Death of the King

One of the greatest golfers of all time died in September at the age of 87. Arnold Palmer was widely regarded as one of "The Big Three" in golf during the 1960s, along with Gary Player. He won seven majors and 95 professional titles during a career which spanned six decades - 62 of these coming on the PGA Tour from 1955 to 1973. He was one of the sport's most popular players and from 2007 until his death, served as an honorary starter for the Masters.
