Link is a new range of hands-free voice-activated speakers from JBL with Google Assistant built in. It's an alternative to Google Home which works fine and sounds great but has a few limitations. For one, it doesn't have a built-in battery and can only be used when it's connected to a power source. The Link, on the other hand, is designed to be used on the go and the smallest version, the Link 10, which we tested is weatherproof and offers five hours of playback on a full charge.

It's pricier than the Google Home, yes, but you get what you are paying for, with portability and better sound being the most obvious reasons to opt for the Link instead.

There are a total of four versions with the Link 20 being a more powerful version of the Link 10, and the bigger Link 300 and Link 500 designed for homes.
