How to live longer
SO YOU want to live a long, healthy life. Who doesn’t? But how many of us actually set out with clear plans and goals to achieve it?
Enter the biohacker – one who takes specific steps to optimise one’s body and health. The most famous example would be Bryan Johnson, star of the Netflix documentary Don’t Die: The Man Who Wants to Live Forever. In Singapore, the biohacking culture is small but growing – mostly among men, although women are also jumping on the trend.
In this week’s BT Lifestyle, we meet some local biohackers who share their experiences on how they are optimising their health in every possible way. Their experiences may well inspire us to do the same.
Meanwhile, it’s time for Milan Design Week and, as always, Singaporean creatives will be in the Italian city to fly the flag. This year, apart from a segment which highlights design’s integral role in nation-building over the past six decades, the spotlight is on works from designers including Ng Sze Kiat (Bewilder), Olivia Lee, Randy Yeo (Practice Theory) and Sacha Leong (Nice Projects). We take a look at what they’ve created for the show.
And in Dining, Japanese food is back on the menu with the opening of more eateries that offer a wider choice and affordable prices. We check out the latest, Mare Hachikyo, which serves up casual fare with ingredients sourced from Hokkaido.
For all this and more, don’t miss Friday’s (Apr 11) stories in BT Lifestyle.
