YOU may have seen it rendered as toys, T-shirts and skateboards. Now you get to see a humongous 42-metre version of that same character lying on The Float @ Marina Bay, holding a miniature version of itself.
Companion - a Mickey Mouse-inspired character with crosses for eyes (literally "cross-eyed") and 2 bones sticking out of his head (or "bone-headed") - is the ubiquitous creation of the popular American artist known as Kaws.
As part of Kaws' globe-spanning Holiday project, the artist has created different oversized inflatables of Companion for various major cities including Hong Kong, Seoul and Taipei. Companion was even sent to space on a sounding balloon before returning to earth.
