IBM, GM chiefs raise women's profile at annual US media conference
But women still make up a small percentage of the attendees - fewer than 25 of the more than 300 invited

IBM chief executive officer Ginni Rometty and her counterpart at General Motors, Mary Barra, are scheduled to attend Allen & Co's annual Sun Valley Conference, underscoring a growing number of female and non-media attendees.
Other women invitees who weren't on last year's list include Sara Blakely, founder of the hosiery company Spanx, Eventbrite's Julia Hartz, SunEdison's Cathy Zoi and Lorna Borenstein of Grokker, which offers cooking and other classes online. They join familiar names on the roster including Facebook's Sheryl Sandberg, Yahoo!'s Marissa Mayer, Hewlett-Packard's Meg Whitman and Xerox Corp's Ursula Burns.
