Intervention of art in former stud farm

ART has been proven to regenerate urban centres, and now a Filipino artist is using art to rejuvenate a waste site and former stud farm in the North of Manila.

Just how much difference can art make in a community? Multimedia artist and curator Claro Jr Ramirez is keen to find out, and so far, his experimentation seems to have gone off to a galloping start.

"We wanted to bring art to an audience that wouldn't walk into galleries and art fairs, and to create an awareness of how art would change the environment or mindsets," says Mr Ramirez, who was one of the curators in the 2013 Singapore Biennale.
