Italian Streetwear
Described as a modern-day Evita, Marcelo Burlon is an Argentinian designer with a democratic approach to fashion. The young aspiring artist moved to Italy when he was 14 and is now known as the country's poster boy for new wave fashion entrepreneurs with his eponymous streetwear label Marcelo Burlon County of Milan.
Fashionistas in the know can find his bold, energetic collections in his first Southeast Asian flagship store in Singapore at 268 Orchard Road. Its official opening last month saw the release of a Singapore-exclusive capsule - a six-piece collection of printed t-shirts with neon renditions of its signature bold graphics. Because of the Singapore connection, the t-shirts are printed with the line "Country of Singapore' in English and Chinese.
Also launching in-store are special capsules from collaborations with the National Basketball Association (NBA), Major League Baseball (MLB) and Muhammad Ali.
