AS THE curtain fell on the 2019 Formula One season last week at Abu Dhabi's Yas Marina circuit, the sight was all too familiar of season enders in motor racing's premier class: Domination by Lewis Hamilton and the Mercedes team.
The six-time world champions dictated the race from the onset, and if Valtteri Bottas had not been relegated to the back of the grid due to a penalty, the Silver Arrows would have locked out the top spots on both the grid and podium. He eventually worked his way up the field to finish fourth.
Hamilton continues to add his name to the record books. His 2019 haul of 413 points is the most in Formula One history, bettering the 408 he amassed in 2018.
