Jazz it up

Two-time Grammy winner Gregory Porter returns to Singapore next week, this time to headline his first show at Capitol Theatre. He was last here in 2014, as part of the line-up of the inaugural Singapore International Jazz Festival. Get set to enjoy his distinctively rich and soulful baritone timbre which has graced prestigious venues including London's Royal Albert Hall and even the White House.

Porter's platinum-selling album Liquid Spirit won a Grammy for Best Jazz Vocal Album in 2014, while his latest Take Me to the Alley took home the same prize just earlier this year.

On his return, he says, "I remember performing in Singapore several years ago and it was a wonderful crowd! I've heard so much about how the music scene has developed so I'm excited to be back!"
