Jewellery meets architecture in this family home
The owners of this five-storey terrace house sought inspiration from the geometric patterns of a Chanel ring
WHEN the owners of this intermediate terrace house envisioned their ideal home, they knew they wanted a “neighbourhood gem”. A structure that would stand apart from all other dwellings in the area. The Gohs, who are in their early 40s, just didn’t know what exactly that gem would look like.
Their property search began in 2018. After several years of renting apartments, they were ready for a permanent family nest. It was pre-Covid then, land prices were more affordable, and they did not have any kids to plan for.
They zeroed in on Bukit Timah – it was close to an MRT station, a wet market and both their places of work. The couple also sought the advice of their fengshui consultant, who recommended a house at the centre of a curved street, which he believed would attract and accumulate good fengshui.
