WITH music having finally returned to dining establishments, a certain Duxton Hill shophouse bar can now pay a thorough tribute to its inspiration, Taiwanese megastar Jay Chou.
"We started Ju Hua Tai as an homage to our Chinese roots," says general manager Goh Bai Kuan, for whom Mandopop - and Chou - was a childhood mainstay.
"Some of his songs, like Ju Hua Tai, still bring back memories and we wanted to invoke that similar sense of nostalgia at our bar."
