NEARLY 100 Singapore schools have come forward to adopt the 50 Steinway-designed Lang Lang pianos, which will be donated to 50 schools after they make their appearance at the Sing50 mega-concert on Aug 7.
School principals say the baby grand pianos, coupled with the music lessons on local songs provided by the concert organisers, will go a long way in exposing the young to Singapore's musical heritage.
