THERE was a time when having both a wet and dry kitchen was a luxury for most homeowners. Now, they're pretty much commonplace. But what about three? LT Low isn't counting, but if the trend of having multiple cooking areas in your house catches on, he will have first mover advantage.

That kitchens take up prime real estate in his two-storey Bukit Batok apartment is perhaps an understatement.

First, he has a wet one, which is used mainly for preparation work. It's airconditioned, too, so his daughter Joey uses it regularly for pastry-making, when she needs the room temperature to be cooler.
