    Kueh Dada, Kueh Sarlat, Ondeh Ondeh local desserts get a stylised makeover at Sinpopo's newly-opened concept store at Paragon. The heritage offshoot of Awfully Chocolate made its name by marrying local flavours with modern concepts, so expect the likes of Dadar Dadar Mille Crepe, where thin pandan flavoured crepes are layered with gula melaka cream and grated coconut. Kueh Sarlat cake in turn is a gluten-free cake made of glutinous rice flour streaked with blue from blue pea flowers, and covered in kaya custard. Ondeh ondeh cake features sweet potato cake layers sandwiched with light cream and crushed gula melaka. In time for Singapore's 53rd birthday, every minimum spend of S$53 gets you a sure-win spin at Sinpopo's Gachapon Machine, with prices that include 53 free slices of cake, dine-in vouchers and free online delivery. Oh, and they have freshly baked salted egg yolk cookies if you feel like rolling your eyes at yet another twist on this over-exposed condiment.
