GETTING up close and personal to your favourite food and drink is the perfect pastime for the avid gourmet, and Les Amis takes that to heart with its newest themed private rooms designed for the fussiest palates.
Last year, the 3-Michelin-starred restaurant introduced its Cheese & Caviar Room, revamping its original chef’s table into a luxurious dining room fitted out with customised chillers to keep its collection of artisanal cheeses and bespoke caviar.
Now, it has just launched its Magnum Room - an intimate converted space on the second level designed to emulate the wine caves of France, with full-length timber-framed display cabinets holding more than 100 magnum bottles. Representing Burgundy, Bordeaux and the Rhone Valley, the magnums are handpicked from Les Amis’ extensive wine list and includes everything from vintage champagnes to Super Tuscans.
