Located in Lim Chu Kang, the homegrown, low-carbon urban vertical farm also recently received certification under the world's first national standard for organic vegetables grown in urban environments.
Sky Green produces 10 times more vegetables than traditional farms by planting its crop on metal towers. These are rotated by a water-pulley system that is powered by rainwater, which is also used to water the harvest.
