Loving architecture, but leaving it for something else

In the face of a talent drain, architecture graduates tell us how they ended up in alternative careers and how things could improve

    FIRST came the accountants, and now, it’s the architects’ turn.

    Last year, a committee was formed to tackle chronic shortages in accountants. Two months ago, it was announced that a new task force has been created to deal with similarly vexing problems facing architects and engineers in the built environment sector.

    The problem of architects leaving the industry is not new.
