THE crowd couldn't stop snapping pictures of the star on Friday's packed opening night. The not-so-soft whispers went: "She looks amazing for her age", "I can't believe she's 50,", "Charlie's Angel in the house y'all", "Who's she wearing?"
Most people looked at but didn't talk about the art on the walls, even though the event was ostensibly an art exhibition at the National Museum of Singapore.
Lucy Liu, a Hollywood actress who's best known for Ally McBeal and Charlie's Angels, really did look youthful and elegant in a black-and-white dress. She handled herself with maximum sangfroid and minimum fuss. She posed for pictures, made small talk and fielded questions from everyone.
