Marc Ong ready to go pro
He wants to do this early next year, after competing in a slew of events, his last few as an amateur.
MARC Ong is a top Singaporean amateur golfer who has, for the last three months, set his mind on turning professional.
It is a routine course for leading amateurs, but the plunge is not one that always works.
Ong, who turns 22 on Saturday, is fully aware that it is not a sure-fire thing. He has heard the stories of others who took the pro route, only to realise later that the switch was made too early or was an exercise in futility.
