Marking time

According to Mark Chan, "You can't put a good song down." Last year, he re-recorded Stay, a track off his debut record Face to Face (1985), for The Blue Guitar, his first studio album in almost two decades.
Just earlier this month, he released a music video for the lush ballad, originally written in 1983. The lyrics tell of Chan's "first big love" and a relationship which both parties knew wouldn't last.
"We were both young then - (but) the amazing thing is that we're still in touch today," he says. "It really seems like I've come full circle; things that mattered then, matter even now - passion, falling in love, and losing love."
