Meta tops Singapore Michelin Guide with two stars; four restaurants bag one star
Several one-stars are also dropped from the 2024 guide
RUMOURS that it would win a second star in 2023 never panned out, but Korean restaurant Meta finally proved pundits right when it became the only Singapore restaurant to achieve that honour in the 2024 Michelin Guide.
Together with four newly minted one-Michelin-starred restaurants, the results were announced on Jun 25 on the guide’s website and on social media, a far cry from the usually glamorous gala reception or casual cocktail which took place last year.
While Meta took top honours, Araya, Chaleur, Matera and Pangium were added to the list of one-Michelin-starred eateries. Some previous entrants dropped out of the list completely. Beni, Cure, Putien (Kitchener Road) and Reve lost their stars, along with restaurants which have closed recently: 28 Wilkie, Braci, La Dame de Pic and Table65. Two-starred Waku Ghin, on the other hand, was demoted to one star.
