Morrison Magic
It's been almost five decades since Jim Morrison passed on but for one night only, Australian musician Justin Burford turns back the clock to the psychedelic sixties and recreates the magic of The Doors on stage in a special tribute concert. Slipping into full Lizard King mode, he will perform the band's best-loved rock classics like Light My Fire, Break on Through (To The Other Side), LA Woman, Riders on the Storm, and more, together with a symphonic orchestra conducted by Jessica Gethin. Burford himself is an accomplished rock and roll star who fronted the successful Australian pop rock outfit, End of Fashion; and his obsession with Morrison came from reading the latter's biographies. The Doors need little introduction and are one of the world's best-selling rock bands of all time with over 100 million records sold worldwide.
The Doors - Light My Fire Symphonic Tribute Concert will play at Sands Theatre on Feb 8 at 8pm. Tickets from S$50 are available from Sistic
